Pickerings Plant Hire head office is based in Derbyshire. Since formation in 1969, the company has grown into a leading, privately owned hire firm, specialising in the hire of both mechanical, non-mechanical & site accommodation equipment.
Currently operating from ten depots strategically located across England, Pickerings Plant, maintain a fleet of equipment comprised from instantly recognised brands.
JCB and Manitou forklifts, Thwaites and Terex dumpers, Bomag and Benford rollers, together with Kubota mini-diggers.





All mechanical plant and equipment is serviced and repaired by our in-house engineers who are kept trained to the highest standards and modern methods.
All equipment on site is inspected or serviced on an eight week basis to help reduce breakdowns and costly downtime.
Site accommodation is designed and constructed to deliver maximum secuitry, whilst providing comfortable surroundings for all staff workers.
A range of site accomadation is available to hire including; secure stores, canteens, offices, welfare units, chemcial and mains fed toilet systems, each delivered via own fleet of crane operated vehicles. All welfare units, both static and mobile are HSE compliant and always kept up to date with evolving legislation.
A wide and varied client base includes; local building firms, house builders, civil engineering contractors, demolition specialists, railway workers and outside event organisations.
Pickerings Plant also supplies equipment and accommodation to individual markets, such as Local Authorities, the Environment Agency, and a variety of utility contractors.
