Modular Building (Temporary Classrooms)

 

Aston Tower Primary School is located in Aston, Birmingham right in the heart of The Midlands. The school draws pupils from many different heritage and faith groups with a vision to achieve excellence. It is a mixed gender school and currently has 435 pupils up to 11 years of age.

With construction work at the Birmingham school planned to replace some old classrooms with new ones the school needed to hire temporary classrooms for the duration of the work. The school sought tenders from several modular building suppliers and the hire contract was won by Pickerings who submitted the most competitive quotation.

Separate classrooms were needed for two different age groups. Pickerings designed a solution that would provide the school with the necessary teaching facilities and a pleasant learning environment for the pupils. Seven building modules were prepared at Pickerings local hire depot in Birmingham and safely delivered and installed on the school site.

The finished product is a single storey modular building comprising of two large classrooms positioned adjacent to the main school building giving easy access to staff and pupils. It was supplied in standard Pickerings colours which has blended in well with the school environment.

Pickerings has been excellent value for money in providing a temporary modular building. The classrooms have been the ideal solution whilst new ones are under construction.
